Carbon Buildup and Oil Dilution

Direct injection and EGR design lead to significant carbon buildup in the intake manifold. Frequent DPF regenerations can also cause diesel to enter the oil pan, raising levels and diluting lubrication.

  • Check oil level: if it's above the 'X' mark, the oil is diluted with fuel.
  • A 'lumpy' idle or loss of power often means the intake is choked with soot.
  • Clean the intake manifold every 80k-100k km for best performance.

Camshaft and Turbo Issues
